In the alternate future Earth of 009-1, the Cool War that started in the unhurried 1940s never ended and the world is quiet split between two superpowers vying for supremacy known as the Western and Eastern Blocs. Like James Bond of feeble, each faction’s spies duel with each other under a fragile peace to support each other from getting an advantage in technology which could be weak militarily ecomonically. On both sides, there are some higher-ups in the goverment who WANT an launch war instead of sneaking around in the shadowy. Mylene is cyborg agent for the Western bloc and she comes equipped not only with a lovely body and a blooming face, but with a expertise in weapons, superhuman abilities, AND guns implanted in her breasts! She’s not above using any and all of those assets to fulfill her mission. Mylene is an expert at improvisation and initiative as her assignments generally encompass a wide variety of missions. On Volume 1, she must avert initiate war between the West and East and go up against a hitman named “The Egg” who was nicknamed thus because he’s so “hardboiled”. She must also supervise a mutant extermination squad and rescue an distinguished scientist from a disturbed castle! It’s all in a day’s work for Mylene.

The first thing that catches your study about this exhibit is it’s retro explore that mirrors the behind 1960′s origin of the new Shotaro Ishinomori manga, which was seen as a more old-fashioned spin-off of the kids manga Cyborg 009. Ishinomori wanted to add a puny more sex and violence to his work than he had previously. He was ahead of his time by making his main character a woman in male dominated Japan. Mylene bears a striking resemblance and is probably the prototype of the Major in Ghost in the Shell and a zillion other cyborg gungirls. While some might net the witness of the explain a bit hard on the eyes, I liked it. If you’ve read any of Osamu Tezuka’s manga or seen the anime Metropolis or Cyborg 009, it will be nothing unique. The style of that era was honest more cartoony and wasn’t as enthusiastic in photo realism. The animation itself is awesome and really flows, probably because the director of the present was a ample fan of the fresh manga and did a lot of the work on the anime by himself. The icy thing about Mylene is that she reverses the usual male stereotyped James Bond explore. She uses men, she uses sex, she’s ruthless, but tries to protect the feeble when she can. She seems fully rounded. Ok, a couple of moments in the first four episodes were aesthetic cheezy, such as when Mylene and Egg drag each other for days, trying to demolish each other on an island resort. And some of the other characters are overwrought and melodramatic, but all in all, this first installment was frosty, sexy, and spirited.

Over three decades ago, during the chilly war, a manga titled “009-1″ (zero zero nine one) by Ishinomori Shotaro was created.

Although known for his works such as “Cyborg 009″, “Kikaider” and “Kamen Rider”, “009-1″ would focus on a female main character and a storyline that would mirror the world that was undergoing the threat of nuclear war, the Cuban Missle Crisis and the USA and Russia tensions at the highest level.

The storyline features an alternate world 140 years into the future with the chilly war separating the Earth into the Western and Eastern Bloc.

The main character is Mylene Hofman, a female cyborg who with other 009 units are the Western Bloc’s top spies.

The first episode features the 009 units working together to rescue a scientist who has been kidnapped by the Eastern Bloc. The episode highlights the talents and skills of the cyborg units and how Mylene Hofman who has the contemplate and the body of a woman but in reality is a deadly killer.

From cyborg units that can change their identity, neat athletic agility and hidden weapons in their body parts and in Mylene’s case, turrets hidden in her breasts.

Determined, the anime sounds like “one of those anime” that is made for the man fixated on women with hot bodies and well-endowed but although the anime has its fraction of fan service, it does not overshadow the major storyline that bares a resemblance to the current “007″ films.

The second episode focuses on Mylene’s thoughts of her organization as it hunts down humans with a mutant gene that gives them improbable powers. You launch to realize through the episode that the scientist in the first episode that the 009 units were trying to rescue is the same scientist who experiments on these mutants.

But what makes Mylene’s character more involving is her human side that starts to seek information from the organization when it comes down to hunting the mutants (in this case, a young girl who uses her power to harm those who are trying to raze her) .

The third episode focuses on Mylene’s killer instinct. While the second episode features compassion, the third shows Mylene in a cat vs. cat, slay or be killed storyline with master hitman known as Egg.

Showing that despite her compassionate side shown on episode 2, in this episode… she is definitely a killing machine.

The first volume comes with the first four episodes and being a fan of recognize storylines and to glance a female-like “007″ (aside from the cyborg enhancements) with the sexual innuendo, glorious jazz music and action-packed storyline, I found “009-1″ an awesome manga-to-anime transition.

The first DVD volume also comes with a 16-page booklet with character information and interviews.

Special features include the opening and closing themes, interview, weapon profile and information on how the manga became an anime.

I also found Ishimori’s manga style quite gripping with the women very sexy and the men looking, well homely with dilemma noses. Having said that, the anime from scenery to the overall ambience is objective comely.

Both English dubwork and Japanese suppose work was excellently done and all in all I enjoyed it tremendously.

I highly recommend “009-1″ because it’s a series that is action-packed, radiant and dangerously exciting.

From the crooked mind of Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy), reach the misadventures of a man who will close at nothing to protect his family and country in the hilarious racy comedy series “American Dad!”. Stan Smith is an overprotective and high-strung CIA agent who loves his family and is constantly on the look-out for terrorist activity. In addition to his sympathetic trophy wife Francine, his ultra-liberal daughter Haley and his awkward pre-teen son Steve, the Smith household also includes a freeloading alcoholic region alien named Roger and a perverted German-talking goldfish named Klaus. “American Dad!” is the latest absorbing sitcom in Fox’s Sunday Night lineup. The sharp series shares numerous similarities with “Family Guy”. “American Dad!” follows a more plot-driven storyline without the heavy employ of cutaways and flashbacks. Its cutting-edge humor and putrid characters are substantial. The 3-disc box state features such memorable episodes as “Francine’s Flashback”, “Bullocks to Stan”, “A Smith in the Hand” and “Stan of Arabia”, and guest inform stars like Carmen Electra, Stephen Root, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Gina Gershon, Matthew Lillard, Molly Shannon, Seth Green and Patrick Stewart.

If you’re looking for riotous humor and shapely extras, then check out “American Dad!: Volume One”. All 13 episodes of the uproariously comical bright series are presented in standard fleshy shroud format. Its report quality is quite excellent with solid colors. Its 5.1 Dolby Digital sound is crisp and determined. Among special features, the 3-disc region includes in-depth audio commentaries by series writers and content cast on 12 episodes, “All in the Family” and “Secrets of the Glass Booth” behind-the-scenes featurettes, numerous deleted scenes, piquant comparisons and promo spots. Overall, “American Dad! Volume One” scores a “B+”.

Not since the days of Caroll O’ Connor’s `Archie Bunker’ has a character so expertly satirized original events—all while making all audiences feel like he promoted their side of things.

When it looked like the prove was about to be cancelled the creators of `Family Guy’ came up with another series. Critiquing `post 9-11′ America, `American Dad!’ updates `All in the Family’s’ formula through a cartoon format. The animation style and some of the voices are similar to ‘Family Guy’, but this series has distinguished more in approved with those inherently political sitcoms of the 1970′s.

CIA Agent Stan Smith wants to protect his country-but he also

wants to occupy his acquire tiny sheltered world opinion. Despite his job Stan ultimately has a very shrimp take of international affairs. However he does know that he loves his family and is only trying to do what he thinks is best for them—by any means famous!

In the pilot episode, Stan attempts to score his son Steve a dog so he will then be approved with the ladies-never mind the fact that this particular dog had been selected only because it was alive during the Reagan administration-making the abominable thing older than dirt in people years! After it is accidentally killed during a `home invasion’ erroneous dismay, he again tries to abet his son out by rigging the school elections so Steve is elected the school president!

“Threat Levels” exposes the realities of public sector vs. private sector pay. When the formerly homemaking Francine enters the real-estate business and then swiftly becomes a success Stan feels emasculated. He loves his wife, but her recent career cuts away at his fantasy of the `male-breadwinner head of household’ sage he had constructed and maintained for himself. Even having her boss arrested and the agency she worked with shut down does not determine this situation-Francine simply becomes an independent agent! Hayley sees an opportunity of her contain using one of the homes which mom is trying to sell as a homeless shelter. Somehow, dad ultimately muscles runt brother away from the cockfighting business he had established at that same shelter and takes over it himself. The episode wryly explored anxieties being felt over shifting economic realities and gender.

13 episodes design up the first half of this 2005-2006season release. Episodes you and your contain `family’ will treasure include “Bullocks to Stan” because he learns that his boss is sleeping with his ultra-liberal daughter Haley. Because Stan and Haley were discontinuance when she was younger but drifted apart because of their divergent political views, he wants to recreate that earlier relationship. Stan has trouble processing that his daughter is both grownup and sleeping with the boss (voiced by none other than Patrick Stewart) .

Another respectable episode mixing sex and politics together for laughs is “A Smith in the Hand”. Concerned that Steve is receiving sex education at school, Stan volunteers to give his contain demonstration to that class. During that demonstration, Stan attacks masturbation and sex as inherently injurious. Resultant crotch injuries then require Stan to apply ointment to his beget crotch, and he discovers masturbation for the first time. Steve then discovers what dad is now twisted on and they hypocritically go around promote the plan on television that masturbation is unpleasant all while doing it themselves. Finally, Francine steps in and tells them that she has had enough and sexual feelings are perfectly normal.

Francine usually keeps her acquire opinions to herself, but she really is a closet liberal underneath it all.

This is apparent when Stan attempts to erase her mind so she will not remember that he forgot their anniversary or that it is their anniversary (“Francine’s Flashback”) . Instead of only taking off 20 hours however, the CIA scientist erases 20 years and she is now unable to remember anything about her unique life-including that she is married to Stan himself. Despite what he had CIA colleagues do, Stan becomes shy by this development-he had not wanted things to go this far and fears loosing Francine forever. Her memory is miraculously recovered at a concert though and another crisis is temporarily averted in the Smith household.

Francine’s mercurial thinking saves the day when Stan panics about the Iranian novel neighbors (“Homeland Insecurity”) . Suspecting that they are `terrorists’, Stan then decides they will be detained in his home-attempting to publicly account for this through the Patriot Act. Contrasting, Francine takes the more sophisticated approach-she sells the whole thing as a neighborhood block party which impartial happens to have a “Terrorist Detention Camp” theme. She is the one who really has the people skills needed to conduct covert operation!

I’m honestly not that crazy about the ending two-parter “Stan of Arabia”, where the Smith family temporarily lives in Saudi Arabia. Okay yes, the CIA does move internationally but the series creators themselves obviously did not have knowledge of the Middle East before writing these episodes. `American Dad’ usually works (and very well) because they could present Stan being a well-intentioned dofus without complete knowledge of the America which everybody else around him does know about. This set procedure doesn’t work as well when the writers themselves lack in knowledge of the same thing they attempt to critique.

Extras include Commentary on 12 episodes by Creators & Producers Mike Barker, Matt Weitzman, Seth MacFarlane and others, a featurette called “All in the Family: Creating American Dad, a ” featurette called “Secrets of the Glass Booth: Late the Voices of American Dad, a Animatic-to-Episode comparison, and 42 deleted scenes

Family Guy only had a three season hasten (I judge after a year of silence it’s great to say there won’t be anymore) . These two DVDs form up over half of the 50 episodes in the series. Despite what you may have heard, these 28 episodes entail every episode that aired in the first two seasons. Because of Season 1′s slack originate, a lot of season 1 episodes were pushed into season 2, which in turn pushed some season 2 episodes into season 3.

The series starts of very strong for a first-time viewer. The episodes are packed tight with jokes and often go off on wild tangents. The early stories are a diminutive outmoded, but they buy up in the second season where the series gets even more creative. Definately something that keeps getting better through the second season. The third season was a slight weaker, so if you were only getting one of the two sets, I’d recommend this one.

If you’ve never seen Family Guy, then be warned: it’s not for everyone. It’s got shameful humour, and isn’t paralyzed to perambulate fun at honest about anything, despite what accepted concept might be.

The DVD state also comes at a relatively cheap notice, considering you’re getting 28 episodes of Family Guy goodness. The third season position would most likely entail the other 21 episodes (22 if they include the unaired “When You Wish Upon a Weinstein”) and thus in two purchases you can have all of Family Guy.

“Family Guy” required attention, but it was well-worth the “peril.” Colorful, silly, sometimes even offensive, it never, ever disappointed. But quality TV doesn’t always mean helpful ratings; this note will go on the long list of shows that died premature deaths because it was too hip for TV. Moments of this point to pop into my mind from time to time, and I always derive myself smiling and laughing when they do. Check this position out and accumulate the same enjoyment that I have. This was one of television’s very best.

A lot of people remember “Animaniacs,” but not many people remember how well-liked it once was. In 1993, the year these episodes appeared on the Fox network, “Animaniacs” was the most approved cartoon on that network, and one of the most-watched cartoons on TV. It had a cult following like few other shows of its time; alt.tv.animaniacs was one of the most densely-populated groups on usenet. Adult and college-age viewers loved “Animaniacs” as great as, if not more than, the runt kids; the obscure cultural references, double entendres, and kindly solid cartoon violence made it even more fun for an older audience.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Animaniacs, Vol. 1! Click Here

Well, that was 1993, and over a decade later, how does this point to bear up? Very, very well. All the things that made it so accepted in 1993 — the mountainous lines, the imaginative visuals, the music (with the unhurried Richard Stone leading a corpulent orchestra, no computer-generated music allowed), the voices, the cultural references, the violence — level-headed work today. The anthology format, with each episode consisting of a mix of different characters and segments, gives the display a richness and variety that most cartoon shows don’t have. And the characters are mild as amusing as they were in 1993: the Marx-Brothers-inspired Yakko, Wakko and Dot; elderly, amoral cartoon star Slappy Squirrel; Chicken Boo, the giant chicken forever passing for a human; and world-domination-seeking lab mice Pinky and the Brain (whose spinoff series is also available on DVD, separately) .

The first DVD location contains the first 25 episodes of the series, out of a total of 99; if it sells well, three more volumes will be released. It includes some of the show’s very best segments, like the encounters with Paul Rugg’s Jerry Lewis parody “Mr. Director”; or Slappy trying to present to her nephew that “nobody ever dies in cartoons” in the short “Bumbie’s Mom”; or the define mini-musical “Les Miseranimals”; or the Warner Brothers (and the Warner sister) helping Michelangelo “paint naked people all over a church.” Plus the notorious song sequence with all (or most) of the nations of the world status to the “Mexican Hat Dance.”

Yeah, it’s a not really a rotund first season, but the first 25 half-hour shows is calm a gargantuan number for a 5-disc situation! I unbiased can’t wait to select this for my siblings, because I loved the expose as a kid, and nowadays, I quiet like the zany Looney Tunes-esque slapstick antics, solid art style, and ample voice-acting.

Season 1 was curious with a whopping 65 episodes. Most likely it will be broken up into “Season 1 Volume 1″ and “Season 1 Volume 2″ DVD releases although Volume 2 hasn’t been announced yet.

Fans are hoping the following will also be released on DVD:

Season 2 had 13 episodes

Season 3 had 20 episodes (which included the 30 exiguous “It’s a Incredible Cramped Toon Christmas Special” as an episode)

There were two hour long specials:

“Night Ghoulery”

“Itsy-bitsy Toons Spring Rupture Special”

And a converse to video release:

“How I Spent My Vacation”

I,ve waited for so long and it’s finally here! The first volume of Puny Toon Adventures on DVD! I remember Little Toon Adventures from my childhood serve when I was a young lass. In case you are peculiar, Limited Toons is about a second generation of young Toons who are kid-like versions of Looney Tunes. They succor a school called Acme Looneversity where the current Looney Tune characters are teachers. They advise Buster, Babs and the other Runt Toons on how to become the 2nd generation of Toons and they salvage a diploma of Lunacy when they graduate. If they’re not at school, the young toons are out having adventures that are often parodies of approved movies, TV shows, droll books, etc. Small Toons like 90s cartoons and many other classics have lawful humor and absolutley none of the faulty toilet humor and idiocy that’s in the bad cartoons of today. Thanks to this and other DVDs, we can now have the classics with us forever. The humor in Miniature Toons is witty and often has parodies of common TV shows and movies. This is one classic you may want to fraction with your family.

Tiny Toon Adventures began production when Warner Bros. reinstated its animation studio in 1980. It debuted in 1990 on Fox Kids and ended production in 1995. A major precedent was the success of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Diminutive Toon Adventures is a witty point to that often contained political and entertainment satire. Caricature versions of celebrities made frequent appearances, though were almost always voiced by imitators, and often appeared under parody names. Exiguous Toon Adventures is a series that kids, teens and adults of all ages can savor.

This is defintely a recommendation for all DVD libraries.

Don’t listen to people who say that the Kizuna OAV is difficult to follow. All the information that you need is presented plainly, and the backstory is told through flashbacks. The account of Enjoji and Ranmaru’s cherish enduring despite obstacles is very touching, and a nice change from the “doomed savor” theme of some other yaoi anime. The characters are all well-developed for such a short OAV (two half-hour episodes), and the relationships between them are well-described.

The only predicament I had with this DVD was in the structure of the DVD itself. The subtitling timing is Design off, often appearing well before the character speaks, or in the middle of a different character’s lines. Unless you listen closely it is sometimes impossible to know who is saying what. Also, there are no extras, no alternate soundtracks, and no scene access on this particular version of the DVD. All you glean is two OAV episodes with Japanese voices and rather mountainous white subtitling.

I’m a straight guy and don’t grunt Japanese and yet I managed to adore this movie. I consider what I like best are the characters and the relationships between them. The rest of the storyline kind of takes a backseat. At the kill I was left wanting more.

Before I even gain started I want to produce one thing perfectly clear; I am not writing this review based on the bond movies. In my humble concept The James Bond series is glowing, some movies are better than others but overall this is action and adventure at its best. 007 is my common smart hero of all time and I hope the Bond legacy lives forever.

Now that being said; what [is going on]!. Are you kidding me? This is what we collect? Seven movies? That’s it? My quandary is with the boxed situation. There have been 21 Bond Movies to date, they took 7 of them at random and stuck them together in a cardboard box and they call this a collectors position. Has anyone seen the collectors dwelling they have in England? Its freaking glowing. It has all the movies in order from Dr. No to The World is Not Enough, plus a bonus DVD about the making of die another day and it’s all beautifully presented in a chrome metal collector’s box complete with artwork and many extras. If you have not seen it you can capture a perceive at it on Amazon’s UK situation but don’t retract it because it is status 2 and won’t work on American DVD players.

Why don’t we have a area like that? …

This collection includes various Bond movies from four of the actors that have played James Bond in the “official” Bond movies, which excludes “Never Say Never Again.” My only complaint about the three collections is that the movies are not in order. I have all three sets because I like Bond rather than wanting all the Bond movies by one of the three actors. However, you have to prefer them as you can come by them sometimes.

Each of the movies in this collection is a “special edition,” which is a appreciate name for DVDs that include extras that range in value from high to rude. I have been very fascinated with some of the commentaries (those by Terence Young were very attractive) and some of the features objective seemed like filler. However, what I found captivating other may not, and vice versa. Rather than listing all the extras, a list of which is available, I will discuss the movies briefly.

“Dr. No” launched the Bond franchise. Sean Connery position the tone for Bond, suave, debonair, and terminally frosty. He drove nice cars and had a penchant for dry one-liners. Ursula Andress plot the tone for future Bond women, and Dr. No was coolly ruthless. Ken Adam’s sets were artistic and artfully filmed by Terence Young, who also provided the stylistic role model for Connery’s Bond. In the extras you learn that Connery was mentored by Young and acquired expensive tastes and hobbies in the process.

Buy,Download, Or Stream The James Bond Collection, Vol. 1! Click Here

Many people judge the second movie in this collection, 1964′s “Goldfinger,” to be the best Bond film ever. Bond’s villains continued to be ruthless and megalomaniacs, and Connery has a halt encounter with a laser. Shirley Bassey belts out the title song and sets the standard for future Bond music. James Bond also quips that drinking Dom Perignon above 38 degrees Fahrenheit is “…as unpleasant as listening to the Beatles without earmuffs.” Fortunately, Paul McCartney did not select it personally as he recorded the title track to the 1973 Bond movie “Live and Let Die.” Bond also got ever more gadgets from Q, played by Desmond Llewelyn, who went on to appear in more Bond movies than any other major actor.

The third movie in the collection is Roger Moore’s second outing as Bond. “The Man with the Golden Gun” from 1974 is a mixed bag. Christopher Lee as Scaramanga and Herve Villechaize are two of the most bizarre and ruthless Bond villains ever. There are fewer gadgets than in some of the surrounding Bond movies, but Moore’s performance is a bit wooden and Clifton James was a bit over-the-top as silly relief. The title song by singer Lulu is glowing ample, but pales in comparison to many of the other title songs in the series.

The fourth movie in this collection attempted to effect Bond attend on track. The 1977 movie “The Notice Who Loved Me” had a very serious undertone. The gadgets are befriend, but effective. We meet Jaws (Richard Kiel) and Karl Stromberg (Curt Jürgens) . We also meet astonishing Bond women Caroline Munro and Barbara Bach. The stunts are awesome, the set is fabulous, the locations extraordinary and the title song by Carly Simon pushed Bond music help into relevancy. This movie was one of Roger Moore’s best as James Bond.

Timothy Dalton’s second film, 1989′s “License to Demolish,” is the weaker of the two Dalton Bond films. However, the supporting cast is suited, including Carey Lowell of “Law and Order” fame, Robert Davi, Talisa Soto, and David Hedison as Felix Leiter in his last appearance in a Bond film. The state shots are very gracious, and the stunts are among the best of any Bond film. They actually had those semi-tractor trailers up on two wheels, according to the extras. The unpleasant guy may have been a mere drug czar, but everyone was suitably wicked. Gladys Knight takes the honors for the title song and Patti LaBelle sings the pop hit “If You Asked Me To” to terminate the movie.

The last two movies in this collection are Pierce Brosnan’s first and second Bond movies. In 1995′s “Goldeneye,” Bond is more dynamic and a more musty gaze. This movie raised the dwelling stakes by filming for the first time in Russia, along with a number of other exotic locations. The gadgets are better, and the women are nearly more than Bond can handle, especially Xenia Onatopp. This movie contains more position twists than a typical Bond movie, so be prepared to believe a runt as things go whine. Tina Turner does the title song reasonably well, but her performance has noteworthy competition in many of the other fresh Bond films.

The final film in this collection is 1997′s “Tomorrow Never Dies.” The supporting cast this time is phenomenal, with the gargantuan actor Jonathan Pryce as Elliot Carver, Teri Hatcher as his wife Paris Carver, and Michelle Yeoh as Chinese agent Wei Lin, among numerous others. Jonathan Pryce steals nearly every scene he is in, reminiscent of some other immense Bond villains. The locations are ever more wonderful, digital effects abound, and the stunts are even more thrilling. That motorcycle jump was really performed! Cheryl Crow does a tremendous job on the title song, and the salubrious video is included.

Because of all the extras these DVDs require hours to survey. While the value of the extras varies, watching them gives a fan grand more information about the difficulties of making each movie, and how many of the stunts were performed. I judge these movies to be among the gems of my DVD collection. I recommend this situation very highly as long as you thought on collecting all the Bond films.

As was typical with other Aaron Spelling action television shows of this era (and Urich himself starred as James Street in Spelling’s even shorter-lived series SWAT), Vega$ featured lots of fistfights, gunfights, car chases, and plots that not only strained credulity, but often broke it. But faithful viewers didn’t care about how realistic the demonstrate was, but how worthy fun and pure escapism it was. Urich as Tanna was a weak Special Forces soldier now making his career as a rough and drop private discover, who relied on support from girl Friday Bea (Phyllis Davis), a worn showgirl, his buddy Binzer (Bart Braverman), his police contact, Lt. Dave Nelson (Greg Morris) and Vegas hotel owner Phillip Roth (Tony Curtis) . A original feature of Tanna’s apartment leisurely Roth’s hotel was the fact that he could drive his chilly sports car into his living room.

It is sizable to have the slack Urich’s work on DVD, and Vega$ will be enjoyed today by many who spent evenings enjoying the indicate in their youth.

I absolutely LOVED THIS Explain!!!!!!!!! As a kid I watched it live and loved it so mighty – yes, Charlie’s Angels, Starsky and Hutch, Savor Boat and Fantasy Island TOO but this one I never idea would be released on dvd!! When I first started dating, I would near home and stare leisurely night tv with my mom (10pm curfew…the worn days) and this was one of my popular childhood shows that was repeating at the time at 11pm, so there are grand memories from the first airing when I was petite and the repeats as a teenager(12am was Trapper John MD and 1 am was Adore Boat-after dates were better than the dates!) . I am about halfway through my awful vhs tapes of this explain (transferring to dvd) – I only have about half the episodes, and they were repeats on TNT’s Lunchbox TV in the mid-90′s and they are in such bad condition, I’m unprejudiced thrilled to gather some in quality condition and will inevitably rep my hopes up that I’ll derive them all eventually.

The only reason it might be tied for the best release this year is because it’s been a honorable year for us fans of 70′s shows with the constant release of more Savor Boat episodes, finally the 4th season of Charlie’s Angels, another season of Taxi on it’s plan and the long awaited but finally given up on (prior to the miraculous announcement) of the second season of Knots Landing (not a 70′s point to but smooth qualifies as a childhood common) . It took so long for some of these, it leaves me in a dwelling of perpetual hope that it will never be too slow for a network to procure their head out of their collective…or for someone else like Roar to win the rights to some of the greatest shows ever made – dated as they may be.

HOWEVER………….I agree with everyone about this partial season garbage. I am so absolutely FED UP with that bull – If you’re going to test it out, either test a cheap half season or do us pay what’s famous to make a chubby season but to charge pudgy heed for a half season? This isn’t 2006 – Let’s not forget we’re in a major recession with colossal unemployment, not a whole lot of entertainment money left in the budget and you’re gonna seize this opportunity to join in with so many other institutions and stick it to us regular people accurate when we’re hurting the most? It’s more than the adult birthday budget in my family (which is getting less and less the older we gain and less money we have!!!!! How about this…catch my loyalty for life (networks) and slash your prices for all your “half season” releases until this economic nightmare is over – I don’t mean “pretend” over, I mean extreme unemployment over. At least Amazon has more reasonable prices compared to everywhere else but they can only go so grievous when the people releasing it charge an arm and a leg to open with.

Okay befriend to the point, Dan Tanna is the greatest!!!!!

Vampires are usually portrayed as sexy mysterious people, or as bloodthirsty monsters. In “Blood+,” you obtain two for the trace of one.

And this fresh vampire anime gets off to a solid open in the first volume — there’s plenty of gory, taut action scenes, as well as some mystery and dead exposition. While it’s technically a spinoff of a movie, this series stands easily on its bear — lots of action, monsters, and gallons of vampiric blood.

Saya Otonashi is anemic, and she doesn’t remember anything about her life before she was adopted by a safe archaic, George, and his sons Kai and Riku. Other than that, she’s a perfectly normal Okinawa schoolgirl. Then a monster attacks her, one night at her high school.

She’s saved by a handsome, mysterious man carrying a cello case, who forces her to drink a minute of his blood. She destroys the monster in a matter of seconds — unaware that her punky, overprotective brother Kai also saw the monster. Soon American military forces advance to tidy up, and everything is hushes up.

And Saya’s confusion only grows when she finds that George is discussing her mysterious past with a man named David. She goes on a search for answers — both from the cellist, Haji, and from George. But then George is attached by one of the grisly, vampiric Chiropterans, and Saya finds that she may be the only one who can conclude it.

Technically “Blood+” is actually a spinoff from an older anime movie, “Blood: The Last Vampire.” But while that movie concentrated on action and monsters, the expose seems to be more enthusiastic in exploring a young vampire girl’s growing problems, and exploring this new vampire mythos. And it IS exquisite modern — it’s more like a disease than a supernatural unlife.

The first few episodes basically region up the rest of the series, introducing mysterious organizations, vendettas, and monsters that will stir you up into a tree and rip off your head. There are some warm’n'cuddly moments in the Otonashi family, but they’re outweighed by Saya’s scandalous past, bloody slayings, and David’s organization. And the astounding thing is, there’s tranquil plenty of unanswered questions.

It also has really blooming animation, which is more realistic than many anime series have. Very sleek, dusky, sharply-defined, and vaguely gothic in appearance, and given extra beauty by the cello melodies that Haji is always playing. The script is resplendent suitable as well, although most of the best lines are stolen by Kai (“Time to have fun…. without YOU!”) .

Saya is a likable heroine at the initiate — she’s an optimistic, ordinary schoolgirl who only has one sincere jam (amnesia) . But we do catch to gawk some of her darker sides when she’s fighting, and Kari Wahlgren does an fine job with both sides of Saya’s personality.

Most of the other characters aren’t explored yet, but George’s tragic past and Kai’s punky, protective attitude form them seem very well-rounded. And though we don’t pick up distinguished information about Haji, the cello-playing vampire is an moving character. Being voiced by Crispin Freeman doesn’t damage either.

The first volume of “Blood+” is a nice introduction to this gory, original action anime, with lots of vampires and buckets of blood. But don’t discover it after gloomy.

Blood + is more than honest a gory vampire reveal. It shows a long history of two sisters, those who succor and protect them and why they are trying to demolish each other. It also shows the struggling relationship between Saya and Kai. Kai knows that Saya is a Vampire like monster but serene says that she is serene his tiny sister and he will protect her no matter what. There are many underlieing stories combined in the siries than honest the main one. I would recomend this to everyone who likes Anime. It is excelently drawn, and very realistic. The go that came before it though, I would not recomend that you gawk it. It does not camouflage anything about the siries, unbiased shows what would be a two section episode, very poorly drawn and not life like at all. This sieries is Considerable Considerable Worthy Mighty, 1000 TIMES Mighty BETTER!
